Amazing, and so sad to read about Mom's behavior. Babette, you write so well, I can "see" the scene exactly. Remember our phone conversation, my concern that Mom wouldn't let Petra in? But I wouldn't have guessed the other tricks. Tell us about Petra. It must be difficult for her. What is her age, background? I hope she has alot of patience!

Last night I sat in a enclosed terrace of a restaurant for dinner with the other dental contractors - four dentists and one hygienist (one other RDH couldn't make it). Spouses (and Emily) were included. It was sweltering hot , but the company was so enjoyable we stayed and chatted for several hours anyway, with the promise to do it again. In a couple of weeks all the clinic staff and families have an outing to an amusement park, I'll be taking Emily (Steve will be in Heidelburg for 4 days). Already I feel this clinic has more of a team atmosphere than the previous, so while I wouldn't normally sign on for an amusement park while dealing with this benign positional vertigo, I'm going. I'll take pictures while the others are on the rides.
